Unique Capability

For shafts that are worn, pitted, or damaged, we offer specialized metalizing for precise and even surface reapplication, bringing old shafts to smooth like-new condition while saving thousands over the cost of buying new.

When shaft straightening is needed, our specially designed 400-ton roller presses, combined with years of R&D in the field, give us a clear edge over others in the industry. Our experience and equipment mean we can straighten new and repaired shafts beyond original specs to meet strict ISO 484/2 standards. Sizing capabilities include shafts up to 40 feet long and with diameters up to 7 inches.

316 stainless steel has great corrosion and pitting resistance perfect for many applications, while the improved strength and corrosion resistance of nitrogen modified stainless steel Aqualoys make them great for larger yachts and commercial vessels that operate in open oceans. 

After selecting the perfect material, our team turns, grinds, and smooths the shaft for a precise and balanced finish that meets the owner or builder’s exact specifications and meets or exceeds ABYC-P6, ASE J755, ABS Rules for Shipping, and ISO 484/2 standards.

We can create individual shafts utilizing CAD design and CNC machining accuracy to ensure true tapering, keyways, threads and thrust plate ends.  H&H turnkey shafts systems scope and size complimentary parts including: prop nuts, keys, couplings, sleeves, struts, and props, and anything in between to satisfy your exact propulsion needs.
